Relaxation ♣ Privacy ♣ Fun
Casita Frontera
is situated in the heart of historic Patagonia, adjacent to an early territorial adobe home (where we live). The environment
is plush with mature trees & plantings & a fountain anchors the front patio. The back courtyard patio is ideal
for lingering, particularly for bird watching, or evenings by the fire (a large Turkish copper pit). Year-round birdfeeders
keep our gardens busy with an amazing assortment of regional birds, including a nice variety of hummers. Our guests
are welcome to use all the sitting areas, front & back. Casita Frontera is separated from the main house
by the interior garden courtyard. The Casita has two entrances, one out to the courtyard & the
other out to Mendoza Alley where convenient off-road parking is available. The overall setting is garden-like, welcoming & private & it's convenient for walking throughout & around Patagonia.
♣
Casita Frontera’s memorable atmosphere is regionally eclectic
in nature & features authentic textiles & rugs, regional furniture, folk & contemporary art. The 840sf
(two-story) loft space includes a sitting area, a vintage twin-size iron daybed (downstairs) that also
serves as a cozy corner sitting/lounging area; a complete kitchen, & two sleeping areas (one up & one down),
each with a comfy queen size bed. The Casita's one bathroom is downstairs & features an unusually large
(Mexican tile) walk-in shower. A wrought iron spiral staircase takes you to the 2nd floor loft bedroom which has ample
storage & floor space & views of the town. Please note that since this is a loft space, the upstairs bedroom,
while discrete, is partially open to the downstairs via the wrought iron staircase & balcony---so it is not soundproof.
Casita Frontera has been thoughtfully furnished & appointed, including
all kitchen needs. Bedding & linens were selected for their quality, aesthetic appeal & comfort. A television
(with satellite reception, DVD/VCR player & stereo) is discretely hidden in the large vintage armoire.
Wi-Fi service is available; however, there is
no telephone. Verizon cell service is most reliable
in this area. For those conducting business while
in Patagonia, our office is on the property if
we may be of assistance.
